Samantha Blank, MD


Dr. Blank joined Colorado Kidney Care in 2021. Her passion is meeting patients at any point in their kidney care journey, whether they are in the early stages of chronic kidney disease or end-stage renal disease, and fostering long term relationships to optimize their health. She grew up in Chicago and completed her undergraduate studies at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. Returning to Chicago, she attended Rush Medical College for medical school and completed her internal medicine residency training at Rush University Medical Center. Following residency, she worked as hospitalist for 2 years at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston before deciding on a career in nephrology. Dr. Blank then returned to Rush University Medical Center to complete a 2-year fellowship in nephrology. She is interested in all areas of the field from electrolyte disorders to hypertension, as well as diagnosis and treatment of glomerular disease. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, making pottery, as well as learning to play the guitar.
